360 Elite?

You, Probally can, but I wouldn't suggest voiding your warranty.
 Just because the last 4 consoles haven'thad effective distribution strategies can you PS3 is a flop. I closely state the reason it's available is due to effective planning, and distribution. Nintendo are holding back consoles to make their consumers wait, retarded if you ask me.
[/b]

Okay...seriously. How can you say PS3 is using "effective planning, and distribution" when it has sold 2.8m worldwide, where as the Wii selling 6.25m worldwide is Nintendo "holding back"? Come on, it doesn't make sense.

It seems to me Nintendo pumped out more than they expected to sell for their fiscal year, and they all sold. April (new fiscal year, correct Banana), only two days away, will see them pumping out more units again. With the way it was selling, the only thing keeping customers waiting are other customers.

An assumption you've made since you think the Wii can't last with inferior graphics capabilities. It'll last as long as there's a market that's buying games for it, which will be a long time if it keeps outselling the PS3 2-to-1.

Product Life Cycle
[/b]

Seems that the 5 year life cycle you are predicting for the Wii will coincide nicely with the release of the 3rd gen XBox. Perhaps 5 years is enough.

http://thexboxdomain.net/2007/03/12/next-xbox-in-2011-2012/

Hell, according to the other article I posted about senior citizens loving the Wii, maybe 5 years is the life expectancy of a Wii owner.

Hes just bitter and cant admit it. He thinks that just because he works for them he can predict their awsome outcome. I mean come on you know theres like 3million people that sony has paid to wait until monday to go buy ps3's all at once. That way he can justify his simply posts of "Product Life Cycle".

Lemme break it down for you Banana. I dont care who you work for Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Enron, it dont matter. The Wii is more sucessful for one reason and one reason only in my eyes. ITS DIFFERENT! I've been playing playstation since I was 10 years old when it was a square gray box. Its the same controller, the same idea, THE SAME THING for 7+ years! Lots of people arent all gungho OMG LOOK AT TEH GRAPHIX like you idiots think they are.

Nintendo did something revolutionary and now your suffer the statistics of it. Jesus if Sony marketed death as a product youd say people werent buying it because of "Product Life Cycle" when the fact is people dont want to die they want to live. And wii is living my friend not your rudementary sony crap you try to push on us.

PS: I'm the consumer whos head you think your so far into that you know more about how I work than I do. So don't pull your blah blah blah marketing degree crap.

Not every consumer is like you, lol. Regardless of complementary products, and software the Wii will not be around as long as the Playstation 3. I don't hate the Wii I have one myself, makes a great party toy, but can't cut for serious games.

Who made you the king of what defines a serious gamer? Obviously you have about 10 other people telling you your wrong. I don't see where your product life cycle marketing bs comes into play. Banana I love you in vent but I hate you on these forums when the sony topic comes up. Your defense of Sony is a load of shit. Idc if they are your employer or not. PS3 is the same thing as PS2 they might as well just sell more ram a processor and video card to plug into PS2.

PS3= PS2 + a processor and video card

Congratulations your upgraded PS2 in a nice new case is really a huge improvment. I think that alot of game companies are realising they need their games on 360 and Wii because PS3 market just isnt there. Honestly the only games I'll be missing is the new Metal Gear which will make its way to xbox in time and Gran Turismo. Face the facts xbox has its awsome online networks, Wii has its motion sensitivity and PS3 has, well its got ughh, o computer graphics. Awsome...

I love how so many "Playstation Exclusive" game titles are heading their way to the 360. We've gotten Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, and Final Fantasy (

) so far. Just hoping that the Metal Gear Solid rumors are true. ^_^

I would consider Twilight Princess a very serious game, but I am not a serious gamer.

Again, if the Wii lasts "only" five years like you have said, it will be in time for the XBox 3 to come out, which will probably have higher end equipment than the PS3. So, even if the life cycle of the PS3 is longer (and have a later "starting point" as was argued before), which is hard to disagree with, wouldn't it also get hosed and be obsolete in 5 years as well?

Final Fantasy is still a "rumor", they are only talking about not keeping it exclusive, which means diddly poo.

You and I both know that FF will become one with the 360! I could care less about that title anyway though.. I quit after 7, and played 10 once.

Must.. have.. MGS!

Actually I think Square is just throwing it out there, honestly I see both MGS and FF staying solely on the PS3 (or they get released to XBox/PC 6-8 months after PS3 release).

i dont understand some things about certain games being cross format......

am i right in thinking the 360 doesnt have a HD drive as standard whereas the ps3 has a blu ray drive?

basically im thinking from a gta4 perspective as that is the only reason i am likely to get one of the two consoles - if the ps3 can fit on like 25-50gb of content using a blu ray disc vs a standard dvd, i find it unlikely the devs would choose not to use the full potential to be honest

could it even result in there being a massive difference in the capacity used (content or graphics wise) for the the final games on different formats?

not looking for a flame war just some idle speculation because i havent been keeping up properly with the console war

Get the 360. The PS3 version and the 360 version will be totally the same, but the 360 is the way to go in the long run.

Just a better game lineup IMO.
