Why Are Guys Obsessed With Asian Chicks?

People from Japan think santa is from Denmark or Finnland (cant remember)

They wont acknowledge he might live elsewhere (NORTH POLE?)
[/b]

Of my experience there, they don't believe in it. This started as a christian holiday, most Japanese are buddhist.

You mean like your comment about Japanese nationalism? Sometimes generalization, while still general and don't pinpoint every single person of that culture, is more right than wrong. Is every person going to be exactly the same way? No but if you have a culturally crafted habits, then playing the % game you stand a better chance of being right.
[/b]

I said there are exceptions. I didn't generalize. :P

Pretty much the fact that we are talking about how another race behaves encourages stereotyping.

It's like this idea I keep mentioning how if you even realize that racism exists, that means you're already racist yourself (although to a lesser degree than most people think of the term "racist" as meaning) because you can't know racism exists without recognizing that there *are* other races - which means at the very least you think they are different.
[/b]

Racism gets known mostly when there is hate (or some form of it) for another race. I don't hate other races, because of how I was raised, I treat anyother person fairly. In other words, I apply the eye for an eye. I treat others as they treat me, regardless of race, nationality, sex, yadda, yadda. ;)

generalization

n 1: the process of formulating general concepts by abstracting common properties of instances

But generalization is a statement about that a large % of the population believes in such a matter. And as far as Timi and I are concerned, our experiences, show that we have discovered that Asian culture and our desire for a good relationship in which we don't jump off a bridge includes avoiding dating Asians.

Yeah I'm the same way.

(...) But you stating about sterotyping I disagree with. In the stricktest sense of stereotyping, is saying EVERYONE is that way. (...) [/b]

Well I think you looked into it a bit much. I just meant it in the "A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image. " sense. And that we shouldn't be suprised if those types of comments show up in a thread like this.

In my experiences, being an asshole, knows no one race.

My parents made him come to church even tho he wasnt christian, but he would swear on the fact Santa was from Finnland/Denmark. And Christmas is a commercial holiday, not a religious one. Christmas isnt even the day Christ was born, it was adopted from Paganism (I think).
