Transformers

This movie was actually very good, idk how you couldnt like this movie if you watched the cartoon series as a kid.

I loved it. It had a lot of very funny lines, and took me back to my childhood.

BTW the cartoon always had kids in it from what I remember. Yeah that's also a Michael Bay thing, but personally I think he did it justice.

Course I also came with low expectations. The jokes were awesome tho.

saw it on saturday, I have to say was blown away...I know it would be good and I was right :) I think they really did the old cartoon justice while making it 'live' action and actually providing a decent plot. All around a good movie and nothing to outrageous for the kids either.

Good movie, but too many fallacies.

1) Bumblebee was a VW Beetle, not a Camaro
2) I thought they locked the guy in to do Megatron's voice?
3) Megatron is a gun, not a plane...granted I believe later episodes he was
4) The police car (can't remember his name) was an Autobot, not a Decepticon
5) Optimus Prime was a flat nosed truck, not a long nose

Those are just some of the things my nerdy side noticed.

1) Correct, but a VW Beetle is lame, they also wanted to keep size differences proper, so the beetle was also too small.
2) Find the thread between Kitty and I, we discuss them switching to Hugo as oppose to the great Welker.
3) He was not a plane until far later (after movies, and galvatron nonsense)
4) Police car = Prowl, link
5) At least they kept his voice guy.

Great movie I really liked it!
Yeah you had to leave some of your views about the classics aside but I liked it and agree with most peoples views on it.

Also Fluffy I quite liked Armageddon and Bad Boys! :p

VW won't let Hasbro license the Beetle for its toys anymore I think I've read. That and it's not so cool now but that's a big part.
Hasbro have had to make different cars for the Bumblebee toys lately. It's similar with other toys too.

Frank Welker does Megatrons voice in the game.
Was there any point to Hugo doing it? I didn't really recognise him in it.
Also things happen so fast you never get a really clear shot of Megatron uniced. It costs too much for them to be on screen.:rolleyes:

Megatrons days as a gun are pretty limited.
He's been a tank a number of times. It's the "PC" way these days. Guns to kids aren't good. He can be a bright coloured space gun but not realistic.
The recent Masterpiece Takara toy is banned from Ebay and import unless they put a bright plug in the barrel. :mad:
Also Bay didn't want to get into the whole "minituarization" thing yet.

Yeah Prowl but I liked Barricade.

I don't think the original truck would have looked so good without it's trailer and they didn't put it in anyway. He's been a Fire Truck before and is again soon.
