Wii greater than I imagined

I've been watching some videos from e3 and I've have to say, I was already amazed with how this system was looking, and these videos and demostrations blew me away, I've seriously never been this excited about video games in my life, even when I was a little kid. This system looks amazing and its possiblities are almost limitless, the controls look amazing, and this will seriously revolutionize first person shooters with a game you actually point to shoot. Its pretty safe to say, I've just pooped my pants.

*Hands baby wipe to Whewa*
hehe.

I saw what you were talking about.
It looked pretty cool... and I don't even like FPS.

E3 is about 15 minutes from where I live, but I can't piggyback inside this year :(

I have to watch it on TV too.

I've totally got a comic planned for the Wii, just have to get around to making it :)

Well is kinda like Nintendo's Duck Hunt, remember?! Where you used a gun to point and hit the ducks. Anyway, people might get use to the controller with time but it looks quite awkward to control it. I read an article that it would be awesome for lefties, but then again you an buy controllers that are for lefties and make that experience good for everyone on any console.

In the case of consoles, what will make them rise is the content. All consoles have their up and downs, but still why do one sells more than the other. For certain is usually the GAME that entertains you the most. Xbox has it's awesome shooter Halo, other than that Xbox hasn't come up with no other high selling exclusive. Nintendo... Zelda is their big seller. I usually see them with a lot of games for kids, like the Mario games (I know they are for everyone, but it seems aimed at kids with those big boxes, primary colors used as base [Red, Green, Blue]). And finally Sony's PlayStation with Final Fantasy Series (which most of the RPG community waits excitedly for each year), Metal Gear Series, Socom Series, Grand Turismo Series, Jack & Dexter, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet & Clank Series, Tekken Series, etc...

Oh yeah! Nintendo's Graphics for their new system will look like the graphics that GTA made in Vice City. They won't get any better than that or so it is said. I think I read this article about graphics in a Game Pro magazine, gonna see if I can scan it and post it soon... :P

Also, someone told me that Hironobu Sakagushi's studio won't be producing games with Nintendo as it was said a few months back, because he is aiming for top of the line graphics, as well as content. For those that do not know, he is the creator for most of the storylines and characters of the Final Fantasy Series. He got separated from Square Enix together with Nobuo Uematsu (the composer of all FF Series music) and formed another company. They said that they were gonna compete against Square Enix's Final Fantasy Series, and use another console as main. But since the anouncement of Nintendo's Graphics issue, they pointed out that they won't be making games for nintendo. Too bad! :P

I, for one, didn't want them to go with Nintendo, because there is no way in Hell I will buy that console. So now, I'm Happy. :D

I think I just hijacked this thread :cat:

im liking the look of the wii and have been interested ever since i heard of their new controller concept which looks pretty cool. im sure the other consoles will copy it in some way as they usually do to nintendo.

however a question mark for recent nintendo consoles is their ability to get the well known games onto them which for me i dont think they have managed to do so well and they seem to have this very carebear esqe approach to their games

you can sit there and preach about graphics all you want, but they seriously don't make a game, Graphics can only be taken soo far, the video game industry has become stagnet and really needs a big boost, both xbox 360 and ps3 are nothing more than a turbo version of there previous versions. Nintendos Wii honestly will not lag that far behind, and will have graphics comparable with the xbox 360. They will have 2 processors, one for physics only, and the other for all the other parts. So although it doesn't have to beefy processors in the 360 and ps3, don't think that it will be rediculously behind.

as for you list of ps games, most none of them are actually created by playstation, so don't poop your pants if you ever see those titles jump over to another system.

And I was also under the impressions that Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles was made specifically for nintendo gaming systems.

take a look at this nice sword and gun fighting game they are launching with I believe? Its called red steel and it looks amazing. And with the controller set up, I expect there will be plenty of amazing fps for this system.

Crystal Chronicles is also on PS. I know most of those games are not created by Sony, but they have been making games for PS for a long time. After a few years, they come for PC too, like FFVII and FFVIII. But mainly for PS consoles, none other.

I know graphics don't make the game alone, just Look at FFVI and Wild Arms as example. One 8-bit graphics, the other 16-bit but crappy 3d engine. Still a strong storylines, music, characters, etc...
