i voted for myself, not because i am self centered, but using my wildland fire fighting training, i know that its not worth trying to be a hero if your own life is significantly in danger by saving someone. One person dying is much bether than 2 people getting killed.

although personally, since i don't have children, the first person i would save if i was saving them would definately be a significant other, and well...i'd probably not even thing about the dangers and just do it.

if it's just me in the house then me, if my husband is in the house then him ....and me..
anyone else along with it.

I doubt I would try to save our aquarium full of fish but.... I'd hope the water woudl save them and they would not get cooked.
