My dad was a mechanic at the local Yamaha dealer, so when I was younger, I always had a dirt bike. In the summers me and a buddy would ride out to our trails about 15 miles from our house.
We had over 100 separate jumps we had built, all over 10 feet high. The worst thing that ever happened while I rode was losing balance in mid air and landing on my back, then having my bike land on my leg and break my ankle. After about a half an hour of disorientation, my buddy keeping me calm, and letting shock settle in, I manned up and rode back home to go to the hospital.
Nothing you can do in any car or truck can compare to the rush you get 30 feet in the air on a dirt bike. Well worth the risks involved, but if you're too scared to accept those risks, I understand.
