What bikes are good?

Most chains I've seen don't come in a loop. This is so that they can fit different bikes. You have to connect or remove the links when you put it on. Personally when I needed a new chain on my mtn bike I went to the shop, just because they knew exactly how to fit it. Otherwise, using one of these makes it easier:

So what do I look for is it called a chain tool or does it have some official name.

Park Tool is the company that made that one. Its like the Craftsman of bike tools.
The one pictured above is http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=366&item=70-1629&slitrk=search&slisearch=true

Just search for 'chain tool', and anything that looks about like it functions the same way as the one pictured above should work.

If searching the web for how-to's for this shit gives you too much of a headache, pick up a copy of Leonard Zinn's "Zinn & The Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance", runs about $25 and is worth every penny if its anything like his book for road bikes.

Cool thanks for all the help everyone now next week has to get here already so I can have money to order this stuff. :P
