I played it for a whole 2 hours and thought it was absolutely abhorrant.

you can change your appearance at any time though.

WOW thats bizarre. I was going to post the same thing today.
I've heard a bit about it so I'm going to look into details.

I played it about half a year ago (maybe longer ago) and after about 4 hours of it, I've got to say it was total crap. They had some Lord of the Rings map too, which I think was in beta at the time, I wandered around it and it was boring as hell, worst part was waiting for textures to download because they download as you are "playing". Though I tend to think of it as exploring 3D environments more than playing (and most textures I saw sucked, which ruins your immersion in the 3d environment).

Long story short it isn't worth it IMO. I'd rather play a game where the company behind it takes on the responsibility of giving you fun for your money, whereas it seems these guys want you to have to make your own fun (which works sometimes, but it works even better when they make an actual game for you to enjoy).

There's a big economy where you can actually convert the ingame money for real $ too.
Anything you make you own the RL rights to also. You can own and buy land or even islands. And you create your own house or even a pet.

I won't say its the best graphics in the world but what is. And you can skydive, jetski and over stuff.
