I know the gallery is fucked up, and i've tried to fix it with no luck. I bought Invision Gallery last night and am going to be installing it soon. I'm not sure if I'll be able to transfer albums and images (haven't found any converter software), so most likely the new gallery will start from scratch, unless i can upload all images myself and just change the settings to the original poster and times. So if you want to save any images, save them now. If you get a blue broken icon image, go to the image and on the upper-right corner there should be a pull down menu labeled "Size." Choose the max size available and the image should appear.
