Do you overanalyze everything we men say on purpose? For example:



MAN: Don't worry hun, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have anyone to use my phone minutes on!

WOMAN: OMG, I'm so sorry for using up all your phone minutes, I'll stop calling you.

MAN: No, thats not what I meant. I mean that ever since I found you I have had someone to talk to. Not to mention I'm not getting my money's worth for what i pay for monthly....

WOMAN: No, it's ok, I won't waste your minutes any more. *click*



Example 2:



MAN: That was one of the stupidest things you've said.

WOMAN: Yeah, I guess you're right

***Three days later***

WOMAN: I'm sorry, I know I say stupid things all the time, but this can't work out.

MAN: What? No you don't.

WOMAN: Yes you do, you said it yourself four days ago. "one of the stupidest" meaning I say a lot of stupid things to you. I'm sorry, i'll stop saying stupid things

MAN: *slaps the bitch upside the head*

I often wonder this too. Girlfriend text's me while I'm at work, and I forgot to put my phone on silent, well, tone went off, boss came around and bitched at me, I text her back, telling her what had happened and she goes "Oh, I'm sorry, I won't text you anymore.". Meh.
 
From my POV - we think so differently that when you say something, we hear something completely different.

I'm currently hiring a female to male translator for my marriage.
 
yes, but when we EXPLAIN to you what we meant, you say OK and a few days later are going after the same exact thing. and women say GUYS don't listen? :P :lol:

We listen. We forget what we heard. Or we have a huge pre-conceived notion that completely changes our hearing on a daily basis.

Though. I'm reading again what you said for the second instance. I would see that as you telling me I say stupid things quite often, and the last thing I said was the worst. If I was in a good mood (heh - mood factors everything in) I would take it with a grain of salt. But then a few days later, I'm witchy - and boom I'll use it to complain.

You're not listening, man. :) The mistake was TELLING her. Whether its true or not. Pointing out your partners failures... think that'll go over well? "How badly do you suck, let me count the ways...."

All that's provided you wanted to maintain the relationship in the first place. If your manhood was jeopardized by her putting words in your mouth enough to sabotage shit by pointing it out to her, that's your own business. Well, no, its ours too cause you brought it up here for your peers to point and laugh at.. :D

Seriously, don't say shit like that to women you're trying to get with (or stay with), no good can come of it. Whether its true or not is irrelevant.
 
Well #1 seemed kinda sweet to me...

and well, #2... you could say that to your guy friends just fine with no problems... but, pretty much what they said. :)
 
oh well, just venting. needless to say, she dropped the "L" bomb on my earlier today. Relationship terminated
