I hate it when it comes down to a six pack. I dont work out, but i can treat you right. I might smell, have small junk, a beer gut, and Hives but God willing Ill make you happy!!

All I want is someone to treat me good. It helps when he's 6'9" and can reach the stuff over the fridge though. Someone has to clean.

lol you have a lucky wife :P and I would take a 6 pack over a keg anyday .. and a tummy is cute too, but if a guy has a lil belly it has to be fuzzy

Looks is a difficult area. In some respects we are all hypocrites. I mean I like a hewt chick but I am greedy. To be in a relationship I need both looks (she don't have to be a super model) and mind. I mean for the long haul we are all going to get ugly with age just have to make sure we have a person underneath the looks.

if there was a sweet loving guy with a 6 pack or a sweet loving guy with a beer gut.. I'd pick the 6 pack, its not personal its attraction and guys are the same way

truth to a point. If its just for the night, yes you are right. If its for a real relationship, Im kinda picky.I have to have fun. She cant be too judgey. Cant annoy me right away (everyone has things yes but not in the first night). etc etc. looks carry a hefty part. but not as much as others. I wasnt in a relationship for a yr before i met my wife cause i just ddnt like anyone.
And wow, El-D showing he actually is a real person with feelings today!!!

As far as looks...well. Honestly there is very little I care about in looks with a guy. To me generally speaking people's true looks come out in their personality when you see them. A person isn't just a bunch of parts - but is the sum of their whole. We all generally have certain standards and when we put them together will generally forego on certain aspects. Some people require a six pack, others are more forgiving. (not meant at you Syn - just in general) I'd rather have someone that was completely awesome as a person - generally that will make you look handsome.

Also I think similar intelligence levels are important. I've dated some that were funny, cute but just couldn't hold a conversation. I've had others that spoke above my level and I felt stupid.

I think it's difficult to really say what one thing is important because in the end it's the whole person and how you connect to them.

sorry but if there is an ugly guy with the best qualitites in the world and a hot guy with the exact same qualities, looks matter... if there is an ugly guy but he is a good guy and treats you right vs a hot guy thats an ass you go with the ugly one.. but dang it why settle? its not like there are just those two guys in the world

I understand what you are trying to say Syn and well you are honest about it. I suspect that like most people there is a compromise and you will drop down the looks a bit if they have a stellar personality. I find that a good looking woman with a winner personality is more beautiful than a shallow super model.

I will say though - it's not cool to talk about ending life because of how you look. Why do I say this? I was that depressed when I was a kid. Absolutely hated myself for many years.

In fact once I tried to stay underwater in a pool for just a hair too long...well when I came up (because I'm a chicken lol) my friend was like...why'd you stay under for so long you nut? I was like /shrug.

Man I'm happy I'm not dark anymore.

please dont talk like that. My dog killed himself.. Ran infront of a garbage truck. oh it was horrible. we had had a huge fight, I said some stuff, then next thing i know hes bounding out of the yard... oh the horror!!!

what gets me are the people who " I would pick a nice girl over a hot one" either they are lazy and not going outside thier small little town or something because guess what, there are hot AND nice girls all in one... don't settle for the nice girl just because she is there.. I mean if you are already in love with her and all, yeah have a life together, but I am more realistic, why settle for some really nice ugly chump who will cater to your every whim when you can have a hawt sweet great guy if you just step outside your city limits
