1. Gear, gear should not be the be all and end all in games. I dont want to spend my time farming for money to buy stuff that makes me "viable" or have to go through raids for hours and hours only to be out rolled or ninjaed. Gear should be easy to get, shouldnt affect your stats loads and if you have "good gear" it should make you better, not average.
2. Gear with Stats, its overused! I challenge a developer to make an MMO without stats. I dont mean we cant have hit points or what not, but i really dont wanna spend my life farming for +crit and +Agility.
3. Farming, I never liked the idea of farming... farming isnt fun, it feels alot like work except you are paying to do it. Items such as reagents should be able to be automatically farmed without the players presence. Sorta like harvesters in swg.
4. Time sinks, waiting outside of UBRS cos noone has a key? Trying to get people to run an instance with you but demand a summon? Everybody should have a summon ability, in fact you should be able to go anywhere you want to on the map. Why do hearthstones have 1hr cooldowns? So you have to walk everywhere, get less done in your month and so have to sub again.
5. PvP BGs should not exist, in fact what the devs shouldhave done was make an arena...not like stranglethorn but a map where everyone goes, people just hang out there and fight. Sort of like restuss but executed better and with no NPCS.
6. Elite Guilds, ever feel like applying for a guild is like applying for a job? Guilds should recruit players...not the other way round.
thats all i have for now but there will be more, feel free to add yourown. Once you realise blizzard and SOE just wanna make money you realise some things are there just to waste your timeas much as possible :/
