So, the last time I watched MTV the only time they showed music was when Carson Daily thought he was the shit because he a 20 some odd year old guy surrounded by 13 year olds (where's Date Line?).

Flipping through the channesl this morning and looking at the channel programs MTV no longer shows music, unless in a commercial and now MTV2 is completely void of any music as well.

So, why call it MTV (Music Television) when there is no music? I think for all purposes they should change the name of the station to suit the content of the programs......CRAP.

That is the most fucked up show.
 
Ah, at least I was around during the golden age of MTV, where you could sit and watch videos for hours.

Then.... Remote Control debuted on MTV, and it's been downhill since then.

i remember the old jon stewart show on mtv
didnt last very long i just remember a friend saying "dude greenday is on mtv" and i was like "dude theyll never cross over "

Remote Control really was the beginning of the end... but man, those early days of the end were interesting. Real Ren&Stimpy before they moved to Nickelodeon. Liquid Television. Even the Real World was worthwhile, until the deliberate jackasses started to show up (Aidan comes to mind). I miss 120 Minutes. I miss the old Yo! MTV Raps. Coulda done without Beavis altogether, but it goes with the territory.

The king is dead, long live the king. :/
