Failure is more news-worthy than success? Those that *really* cared and watched the whole ordeal had already been pulled in by previous hype - success or failure was immaterial to the advertising dollars the network gained from the broadcast. In fact... a failure sets up the obvious re-attempt, more advertising. The question is, will smartasses like us make a big enough stink that network television and their advertisers decide "This is a really fucking huge waste of time and money, and we should be punished for contributing to our viewers stupidity by airing such tripe"? Okayokay, I doubt they'll actually call themselves to the mat by saying its tripe, but you get the point. :P

And the last bit was probably the only real bit anyway. I assume he must have tried this to see if he could do it at least once anyway? :wacko:
