How this would of changed the election

I'm not much of a politic but I'd wager Obama's victory had more to do with the piles of money he spent advertising in key states.
Yeah. My money and and that of 3.1 million others who donated to his campaign. It was the biggest political war chest in history, and it came overwhelmingly from regular people like you and me. A financial revolution.

We may never see anything like it again.

While money always helps, I think more than anything what helped him was the very poor economy right now. Unemployment is reaching levels not seen since the late Carter/early Reagan years, food/energy prices are rising as well.

I believe the American people are weary of the War on Terrorism as well. Only three wars have lasted longer.

The Revolutionary War (1775-1783)
The Philippine-American War (1889-1913)
The Vietnam War (1959-1975)

While I'm sure the money helped him out, under the circumstances it would have been exceedingly difficult for the incumbent party to win.

the guy on the right would have won by a "MUDslide"

fixed for racism.

Saddam Hussein even donated to Obama... and some person named Dela ware...

and this guy's $5 donation was accepted:
First name: Fake
Last Name: Donor
Address: 1 Dollar To Prove A Point
City: Fraudulent
State: AL
Zip / Post: 33333
Email Address: allmyinfoismadeup@mediabias.com
Phone Number: 2125551212
Employer: Mainstream Media
Occupation: Being in the Tank

The Obama campaign's deliberate choice to not use AVS protections on their donation site allowed so much fraud there's no telling how many of those 3.1 million donors were legitimate. I wouldn't put it past some billionaire donor to find a way to contribute millions of dollars because of this.

Oh, and what's really funny is the media was more focused on Sarah Palin's wardrobe than investigating a possible large-scale donations fraud.

 /tinfoil hat

Please.

BS #1 - How do you make a $5 donation of $1?

BS #2 - You have to enter your name and address accurately to validate your credit card to complete the donation. But you can put whatever you want for the contact info.

Case in point, I made a few donations in the name some of fellow wanderhomies, but they still came off my credit card.

Bottom line is, you've been punked, my friend. Why do you even believe this stuff?

Obama won. Get over it.

#1 - He made a $5 donation, not $1. His phony info just said $1.

#2 - That's wrong. There are multiple examples of people using multiple personas and addresses using a single card. Also, the site allowed the use of credit card style gift cards, which don't have any names or addresses associated with them.

The whole point of the accusation is that they didn't use AVS security measures, which means the only thing that needed to be valid was the credit card number.

Yeah, I know, he won. But that doesn't mean some of his people didn't break the law in their money raising. And it also stains the notion that so many people donated when so many donations could be frauds.

Didn't his illegal Aunt make donations too ?

Yes, and of course as soon as it became a story the campaign said they were going to return the funds.
But it does show a lack of oversight and integrity when it came to their campaign donation collections.
