Free Firewall?

Bored to death... maybe...
I need a firewall for my friend's computer. She doesn't have a vlaid windows XP CD key so I can't download SP1 or 2 so I can't get windows firewall... HELP ME OUT BITCHES!! :P

limewire was the source of the problems she download shit loads of trojans and spyware... so yeah not going down that road again, just got the computer clean.....

why wouldn't she run programs to regularly check her DL's? I don't just download things and open them... thats what virus checks are for

the firewalls are so freaking strong unless you loosen them a little they will stop EVERYTHING> it wouldnt let me play games even, it kept blocking the info from coming in or going out because the program "changed". lol, but its a great program. for money theres differnt options, like spysweeper and antivirus, but the firewall version is free (or at least was, I havent paid anything yet. doesnt ask for card # either.)

it will have little popups about programs trying to acess the net, so tell her to make sure what she is saying yes to. if it aint the program she's directly using, say no.

yeah I taught her that as well.... my sister uses the stupid computer too and shes worse.... im not teaching her shit though lol
 
make sure you hook her up with a good av program you know which one ;)

and a good anti spyware system, lime wire is evil, might want to learn about bit torrent :)
 
i only use BT for anime and games I dont usually download music but when I do I use warez
