Empire strikes back... ***** [/b]
i was trying to figure out what swear word that was for quite a while but i just realised its 5 stars........bah

A New Hope.

Nothing captured the dirty scoundralish sides of the Star Wars universe better. The whole Mos Eisley scene alone won it for me. Also it was the first Star Wars movie I had ever seen ,and brought me into the whole conundrum. ANH FTW.

PS: Episodes 1-3 Suck ass and I personally don't even consider them SW movies.

Personally, for me it is a tie between RoTJ and ESB.

Thing about Star Wars though, is for most people Star Wars is not just 3/6 movies: It is a universe.

For me, Star Wars lives in my mind, not on screen. The movies are a small history channel show about the universe. Naturally, I am not saying that I believe that the Star Wars universe is real, but I think of what it would be like to see real stormtroopers, or be able to be a real bounty hunter or smuggler (Well I guess you could...) or even be a jedi.

I don't know, as for most things I try to say I can think what I want to say better than I can actually communicate it, but like I said...for me Star Wars is a universe with a history and culture much like/much more interesting than our own. That is why we get so much good EU stuff.

Empire had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of Muppets.

already been posted.

/agree

They should be looked at as a completely different set of movies that have nothing in common with the original set.

they still suck though

even on their own
[/b]

Okay, okay, I just don't think they suck nearly as much as they are thought to now becuase they are compared to Ep. 4-6. On their own, yeah, they aren't great (especially Ep. 1, yeesh), but they don't achieve the historical suck like they do slapping the SW label on them.
