Blockbuster opts for Blu-ray

Does it also amuse you that while trying to present PS3 as a better product thus trying to praise Sony what banana actually achieves is that ppl hate Sony more?
 
I don't hate Sony at all. In fact, I've worked for them on a few occasions and they've always been just fine. My frustration with Sony is the way they have created this "format war" and seem determined to drag it out as long as possible, just like they did with VHS vs. Beta. They are clearly trying to force blu-ray on us and eliminate HD DVD as competition, which is unfortunate.

That Blockbuster is going exclusively blu-ray is suspicious. What business is willing to just write off 30% of their customer base? (No SOE jokes, please)

I'm just skeptical about this whole Blu-ray/HD DVD thing. HD DVD appears to be the far more "useful" format. So Sony has it's work cut out for them.
