First off, Ianril, please tell me thats a joke?

[/b]

No joke. He doesn't fall in the same category as the rest. He's not a soloist, but he's got some of the toughest riffs I've ever played. Best soloist ever? I have no idea. Best guitarist. Dave Matthews hands down.

I just thank god kenny wayne shepard or steve ray vaughn arent on the list....no talent fags

haha, there are so many that didn't make that list that were the first to pop into my head, like Vai or Vaughn

but yeah, i voted jimmy

Come on now, the guys who play with him are even better than him.

Great call.

QFE - your poll lost all credability when you left off Eddie.

He is the best -eva

zakk wylde can outplay dimebag darrel...well outplayed. He is the fasted soloest i have ever heard...ive bought ultimate guitar every month for 3 years and every time it has some zakk wylde stuff in i go crazy lol. He is a fretboard messiah with a guitar and should be hailed like a legend because he truly is.

I'll give you that. Tim Reynolds is one of the best out there, but Dave has the complete package imo. All those other guys sound the same. They have 'their' sound, but on paper, a lot of it looks the same. Dave is just in a class all his own I guess. :)

Tom Morello
[/b]

Tom Morello has an effects box the size of the back of a pickup truck. I like him a lot, but a lot of the time he just makes funny noises. Hes got an assload of inspiration pouring out..but most talented? Id have to disagree.

tom morello is a legend...but its like hes more interested in making funny noises than being a good guitarist lol, he did learn guitar at the same time as setting up a band and getting an english degree at havard which is pretty amazing lol.

eric clapton

DL the song Layla by eric clapton(not acustic version) (good example of a awesome guitarist)

You really need Eddire Van Halen, DImebag Darrel, and Kurt Hammet up there. People need to stop denying metal as music <_<

My order would have to be

1) Hammet
2) Dimebag
3) Hendrix
4) Van Halen
5) Clapton

You should be struck down for saying Zakk Wylde can outplay Dime... Go buy a copy of Power Metall off ebay and eat your words...

Anyhoo i changed my mind...the 2 guitarists from Dragonforce pawn everyone!!!

I'm not super skilled on musicians, but I'm saying Santana because I heard him playing and he kicks arse.
