A strange observation I have made

If a black person has a kid with a white person, the child will be black
If an oriental person has a kid with a white person, the child will be oriental
If any dark skinned person has a kid with a white person, the child will be darker skinned

Just something I've noticed at restaurants, church, and just around.

People with one dark skinned parent and one white/pale skinned parent usually looks real great imho :) They will most likely be paler then the 'original' dark skinned person, and much darker then the 'original' white skinned person :)

They get the skin colour gene from the Y chromosome. i.e. daddy

My dad is almost white as snow, and yet I turned out with the same skin color as my mother.

I think that skin with more melanin has a stronger genetic trait. Or you can think of it in terms of mixing colors: if you mix black with white you get grey... a dark color. If you mix white with brown you still get a color that is darker.

I guess she's going to have to take that one up with my dad and god I suppose. Then again, my dad could be the milk man.

It has been my observation aswell, that children of mixed couples, they never end up looking like the white man/woman at all, far more like their other half.
Like Zana said, Those of a mixed parentage, do nearly always end up being rather attractive, also the understanding of more than just one culture is also something which is great imho.

Some say Mexican and Japanese look great. ^_^

Both cultures are family oriented. So they got something in common.
