My general opinions of Sony... because of their performance with SOE, they have a tarnished name, and I've purposly not purchased sony products because of it.

1. Sorry can't seperate the 2

2. Never really got into them. I had a PS1 that gathered alot of dust and I have a modded PS2 so that I can just download games to the hard drive and play them.

3. Only game I really liked was Dragon Quest. Everything else bored me. I'm not a huge fan of random button mashing fighters or FPS games.

4. Nothing it's overpriced imo. And I don't need a PC in my living room. I don't care about high-def. I will be buying a Wii though because to me it looks like it will be fun to play. The ability to get all the old games on it is the deal sealer.

R: $400 this year and until Metal Gear or a Final Fantasy title comes out.

I see SCE merely as a moneygrab tool, nothing that wants to conform themselves to suit the consumer and fit their wants and needs. With the PSP, they've also shown that they want to create a sort of swiss army knife-like electronic, encompassing everything they can think of. This causes prices to soar through the roof and a lot of unnecessary addons that truly just get in the way. It also causes them not to excel in the areas needed most since some of the focus went into those unnecessary features.

I dislike the playstation series because there is no originality in it. All the games are clone copies of each other or a previous version. Also, the controllers are big and clunky, albeit not as bad as XBox. The system itself is troublesome in configuration, unreliable with old or damaged CDs, and very intolerable to taking punishment. I have seen countless friends and family distraught over their PS and PS2 because it fell off the desk and refuses to work anymore.

I will admit that I loved Jak and Daxter :P

Nothing would make me buy a PS3, except maybe to make some cash. Buy and resell. I would not own one for personal use.
 
Even the 360 was hard for me to stomach when I bought it.....you gotta think about that initial trip to the store. It could be a VERY expensive trip to best buy.....$600 +tax for console, $50 +tax extra controller, at least one $60 +tax game. Anywhere from 750-800 you're paying at the counter when its all said and done.

Bring back a non-online Final Fantasy, sell the PS3 for $300 and change the controller.

Why do you like, or dislike the Playstation series? Me personally, I don't play it (that often). My kid (12)chose it over the Xbox because of the variety and number of games available for it. I like the accessories that are currently available (DDR pad, Eye Toy, Guitar). I wish more games supported the GUNCOM.


What games do you love the most on the platform?
When I play it's the Sports Games and Classic Arcade games. Though the JAWS game is fun.

What would make you buy a PS3?
Besides lowering the expected price. They would have to stop producing PS2 games that my kid would want to play, at which point it would be compared to the Xbox to see which has more available content.
