A local radio station, POWER 99.1, has a contest called "The $5,000.00 Fugitive".

If you find and go up to this "Fugitive" and ask him/her, "Are you the Power 99.1 $5,000 fugitive" vertabrim, you can collect the "bounty". B)

What they DON'T say on the radio, is that the "bounty" IS NOT a Cash Prize. :mellow: That's right, it's just your normal concert tickets, albums, and other shit you don't want or need. Then if I understand their rules correctly, they will also have you like sign a form just so you can collect this "bounty" that you'll help them with advertising and promotions related to the event - indefinately. :unsure:

Needless to say, I'm VERY disappointed. I also think they're "contest" is a load of bull crap. Who the fuck calls it a "$5,000.00 fugitive contest" when you don't even get $5,000.00 dollars? I was hoping I could collect a "bounty" RL style. That pisses me off. I think I'm going to go cry with my hands in my penniless pockets. :wacko:
 
that means you're somewhere along i10 between daytona beach and houston lol i heard that contest on the radio when i drove to houston, forget where i was tho
 
Eh, I'm just glad I read the rules before I started being a dumbass and asking everyone and their mother if they're the freaking fugitive.
 
Was it Opie and Anthony who said they'd give away "a hundred grand" to the 100th caller or something? I had the sound clip of this years ago. guy calls in, and the radio DJs are like, "congrats man, you won a hundred grand!" and the guy was like going berzerk, and they ask him, "what are you gonna do with a hundred grand?" and he's going on about all the shit he'll buy and the vacations he'll go on and the DJs interrupt him and say, "wait wait, how are you gonna do that with a candy bar?" and the guy was confused and they're like, "yeah man, you just won a 100 Grand candy bar." the guy got really pissed and started swearing nonstop and stuff. funny shit
 
I remember that...it was "Dude how are you gonna buy a new truck with a candy bar???"
- "What?!"
- "yeah man you won a hundred grand, like the candy bar"
- "WTF!"
 
yeah, that was it. like i said, its been a few years since i last heard it, but yeah. funny shit
