Sheeptastic!
So my dad calls me, which in and of itself is strange (usually i talk with just my mom), but she was having a nap, and he calls to talk to me. We talk about the normal things for awhile (his work and the PC's he's been building for my mom, my nephew and himself) and about a problem he's been having. I help him find out where he can find more info, and i forget how but we start talking about gaming.
Mostly about WoW at first, cuz my nephew has been playing that for awhile now, and he wanted to know how much it was. And he was surprised that I played it. I was like yeah on and off I do, but my nephew and I are on different servers. He's like "there are different servers?" I'm like yeah tons! So then he goes to blizzard's website and sees Starcraft and asks what's that. So I explain Starcraft and RTS's and he sounds a little interested. So I tell him, you know there are sci fi mmo's too - like the one I play that's based on Star Wars. "Star Wars?!" Yeah - and I explain a little about SWG - and he sounded more interested in what I was doing for the past three years than he has in a long time.
I swear I think he's downloading the trial or something. It's funny and I'm scared at the same time. LOL
To give you an idea of my dad's ... mindset on the internet - when he's IM'ing me he has to sign his IM's. Like
"How are you? - Dad"
But when it comes to hardware technology - he knows more than I could ever imagine - heck he's one of the best minds on Fuel Cell technology - but he was amazed at all this mmo-stuff that I was talking about.
Ever have one of those weird days?
Damn it. This means I'm gonna have to watch what I say lol
