So. My lovely fricken car trouble - remember? Well now Voren's car started making noises like the muffler was messed up again. So he goes to get it checked out since we just had most of the muffler replaced.

And guess what? The place gave us an estimate of $700!!!!!

That's..no way we can pay for that.

When it rains, it poors, and right now I have no idea how we are going to get that fixed. What is scary is my car is a piece of crap. We were depending on his car being the good car. Now in another month we may not have ANY car.

Not to mention he just got a job that uses his car constantly. So now he can't keep his job and has to look for something he can walk to.

There must be another way he can get to work, no carpools? Hell you live in a suburb you should have that option open to you atleast.

Oh, and get a 2nd opinion on the estimate for the car.

The place we went to is VERY trust-worthy. Everyone in the office goes to them (it's why we started going there got an overwhelming deal. Also when I told the people in the office they agreed with the cost - it's the catalytic converter)

As for bike/moped - he's 6'9" and weighs 400+ pounds. Not gonna work. Maybe a car-pool, but he has to get a job before he can find someone to carpool with. Taxi's are too expensive.
