Valentines Day

I love doing big things myself on days such Aniversarys, Valentines days... Guess i'm just the old fashion English romantic 
Had something big and romantic planned for me and my fiancee, then she decided she wanted to go off to thailand for a month to visit family back home, which admitly she hasn't done in over 7 years, so I had to keep my mouth shut on that one...
I can't go, can't get that sort of time off work, took off enough time when I preposed, and my mum's wedding.
So I still want her to feel special on Valentines day, which I have always made it my reason to do something on this day, to make the one you love feel special.
So this year, I guess all she'll get is my Poetry (yes I write Poetry), maybe some flowers
and if i'm lucky with the time difference i'll get to eat lunch while she has dinner over webcam together.
To me it's far from what I wanted to do, but she's wanted to go home for a long time (thailand), So I respect that, over what I want to do for her.

I like to get surpriced, but not with expensive stuff (tho I wouldn't reject it ). I like it when the guy uses his mind and put an effort into doing something. Buy stuff anyone can, but to use your fantasy and something special and out of the ordinary, takes more effort
And I also think *women* should do stuff for their men. This is not a one way street ^_^

Yes it is sad for me, but she's happy seeing her family, and at the end of the day, I only want her to be happy, so thats what counts. Aslong as I put a smile on her face, to hear the poetry I wrote just for her, then I've done my bit even though we are on opposite sides of the world.

I have a mid-term, and then I'm going to play wow and avoid thinking about the day.
When I was with Kishel I decided to get all romantic and I made a music CD of some of our favourite songs, including the one song we considered "ours". I photoshopped a cover with a picture of us, did a track listing... whole works. I even did it all twice because she mentioned a week later that a song that was on there she didn't like.
Anyways, she lost the CD while we were together. Never said anything, but it really... irked me. lol
