US dollar worth less than Canadian

That's what happens when your mortgage market goes to shit, and you use China as a blank credit card. :o

International market doesn't care about the mortgage issues in the US, the real issue is the over-printing of US dollars to pay for international things.

I should move to Canada... can I like... get citizenship there? Only half joking.

That actually says the US dollar is worth about 1.043 Canadian dollars. Won't be long now before we see parity.

Just noticed what u mean. Yeah, I think u may have misread, Sovi. There are $ signs next to other statistics, but in that paragraph, not.

Hence using China as a blank credit card, lol.

If the US had to pay back what it owes to China tomorrow your country would be bankrupt.

Fluffy I will also explain the mortgage issue in simple terms. Due to badly sold mortgages in the US, which as leads to masses of insolvencys. The banks have borrow the money they have lost from the Federal Reserve, therefore more money added to circulation.

Economics is easy, the more money in circulation the less it is worth i.e. inflation rises.

Actually, the increase in the Canadian dollar against the US dollar has a lot more to do with how much Canada has had to do to control inflation, which has been significantly higher than in the US for the last five years or so.

US is controlling world's finance sector atm, its pretty stupid to claim US will go bankrupt by paying her debths when the currency owed is in US Dollars.

It will be a major problem in the future prolly in around 20 years but not yet.

Ok then, If the US paid back their debts in US Dollars, it would then cause massive inflation throughout the US, hence causing bankruptcy.

I guess they didnt teach you in school what bankruptcy means or you were not listening and possibly daydreaming how Sony will beat Nintendo.

Yes, I realize that, that is why I put in my message:

"the real issue is the over-printing of US dollars to pay for international things."
