FBI being directed to you: Priceless

A - Is it illegal to download now too or just to share like before?
B - Does Shareaza automatically share stuff from your PC?

legal is a grey term <_< you can down load it if you have ever or currently own it.

By default shareaza shares files you can tell it not too

Okay well whether or not they'll bust you for downloading, don't share, they REALLY hate sharers.

EDIT - Actually I think the thing is if you share they will be more likely able to prove you cost them more money because X number of people got their program/music/movie for free. If it's just you then you yourself only cost them maybe Y dollars instead of X times Y dollars.

Bit torrent? If so I got it just don't know how to use it.

I like azureus , but you will need java installed.

Use Isohunt and search for what you want. Open the files with Azureus (or whatever torrent client you have) and you are good to go.

Shareaza is nice in that it supports all the other P2P networks as well. Though I haven't used it since version 1.0. Does anyone know if it throttles back based on the amount of stuff you share out ?

Why can I never get BitTorrent to work? I've never successfully used a Torrent. I tried to download SoG with it and it never worked. It was stuck at 0%

Unfortunetly with the ridiculous DMCA law in place it is not a grey area at all. It is very much illegal because you be sharing. Remember, when the RIAA went after folks with lawsuits they did not go after the people downloading, they went after the people who were supplying/sharing their songs.

Other P2P sites have already been shut down over such matters. Don't get me wrong, I hate the DMCA law, and I hate the lunacy of suing your own customers, and P2Ps in general, but it is happening, and it is "illegal" at the moment. Morally wrong, no, but legally wrong, yep. Sort of like pot :)

I almost hate the RIAA as much as Julio Torres.
