There are Dos emulators, that will help you run them. you'll just have to find themnever played the tie fighter series but would like to. unfotunately i have heard that as they are older games, they tend to have compatability issues with newer machines running xp

TIE fighter was the game that brought me and Wulf together, not that I played I did but the club we were in ( Imperial Order) was based on that game and that's where we met.
I just want the storyline/ the cutscenes / etc... details.. it's all about details...

I'm kinda an expert on X-wing games. Its the reason I got a PC just to play the 3 floppy disc version of X-wing. I played all the games up to X-wing Alliance.
If you liked that stuff then you will probably love this.
The TIE on the left is from an ongoing XW Alliance conversion project. The TIE on the right is the original. The sizes aren't exact in the pic, just to show an example.
I've been part of it for years now and used to test them out. They've converted nearly all the best ships to ultra high realistic levels. Now someone is even ripping SWG ships for the game.
I even had my own mod site. Sadly my interest died and I only keep an eye on it now and again. Eventually I will get my site back online again.
With a bit of knowledge you can get them into TIE Fighter but they don't look quite as nice. But getting the last Collectors version that comes out is a help. It used the ships from XvT which are an improvement. B)
