I'm still very much in process of getting the game sold, and the website completed :)

Very nice. I'll probably be needing some advice from you in the distant future as this kind of industry is something I'm aiming to get into.

Site looks very professional too, I'm impressed.

Looks very impressive the site layout is streamlined and efficient. A+ for you!

You should add a background or something, right now it just looks like a big square is hanging out in the middle of nowhere.

Also, the text on the pages should be more consistent in their placement on the page, and could probably start a bit higher in the body area.

Other than that, it looks great to me.

gj but hey.. i am not sure if you made the page.. but building pages with tables is outdated.. you need some css skills :P

Thanks guys :) Still a few changes to be made and of course periodic updates :) but till the store front is ready, no big changes to be done.

As said work in progress. Anyway I like tables, works nicely and often no one notices the difference. Working on a repeating background, also updates to the context of the page atm :)

Psh, tables still work for layout and most users don't even notice.
you are right in a way ... but anyways... the thing is.. he can build the page with 2 divisions from what i saw.. one providing the whole background and one floating the menu... didnt browse more .. might be a few more divisions but still easier then a table layout hehe ... and look .. to modify a page with CSS is way better then without.. and besides that his rollover buttons code is really old. It looks like a wysiwyg editor page this way.. and users with slow connections will notice that..

Yes, my code might be old, but it's also more widely accepted. Ok, so it's not the latest thing *shrug* is there a reason to do it differently with what I want it do, in my opinion no.
It does also pre-load the images to help with slower internet connections. If nice gfx needed to be loaded, there is only so much you can do, and tbh who now a days is not on broadband?

Yes I could of gone with something fancier, used flash, php etc, but tbh even those have slow on my pc before, have loading times and needed stuff installed before it even runs. My code does what I need, and tbh still looks good :)

I'm not defending my own work, but my webdesigner, he used a code type of my choice which I could easily manually edit in notepad, because he knows thats how I like to do things. It was my choice, so it allowed me to be able to edit it later without wasting his time, since he's busy doing work for other clients.

thing is.. with CSS its way easier so your argument here is like uhmm... well think about it... but hey.. the page works so its all cool.. if you like it then its ok tho... i personally wouldnt accept that kinda work since i work in that business

Well i'm a games programmer, not a web designer;
IE I know how to make games, in a multitude of languages and programs, my knowledge of making websites is limited, and restricted to html, I would understand others, but actually writting something in them haha... no thanks.

So yes I understand the finer points of CSS make it easier, but I won't beleive it make it look better, atleast not something i could do without. If I don't yet know them all, I stick to what I know, and thus thats what I asked of him.

Updated the website and now have a forum setup along with it :) might need to refresh it to since the changes incase it doesn't look quiet right.
