First, I don't think this is really "new". The only difference with their subscription-based fees vs. any other MMO is there is no original startup fee. MMO's could do that anyway, but they don't - you know why? Because the retail price is how they get lots of money from people who only play the game one month. <_<
Second, if I find a game that has too many advertisements - or advertisements I am "forced" to watch if I am to play - I won't play it. Part of the reason I play computer games is that you don't have to watch advertisements 20% of the time just so you can game the other 80% of the time. It's all 100% gaming, minus loading time.
