Site Load Speed as of January 4, 2007

So i did some heavy duty maintenance this morning and last night in order to find the root of the slow site speed problem. I removed the portal system as well as removed all skins (meaning, no skins are available for blogs). I also upgraded to the latest version of IPB 2.1 (we were two versions behind). I have noticed some improvements for myself, but I want to see if others have seen any differences.

I did notice some increase in speed, but its not terribly fast it still takes about a second or two to come up. I am at work right know though, even with the unlimited bandwidth that I have I still have to go through who knows how many routers or firewalls to get out. Ill check when I get home and see if theres a difference.

Update I'm at home and it loads up about the same as it does at work.

Certainly faster, it has upgraded from atrocious to terrible.

as of today 1/9 its running very fast lil to no delay in page loads /cheer
