Question about Next Gen Consoles

Bored to death... maybe...
Why can't you browse the internet with the next gen consoles? Why did that idea die with Dreamcast? I thought it was awesome tbh. Why do you think the companies are refraining from such features?
 
Umm you can also browse the internet on the wii, just have to dl the right patch for it. been watching youtube on the bigscreen. :)
 
Bah why do I only have access to the crummy 360 that cant browse the internet lol.

The 360 has said that they are planning on implementing a web browser sometime in the future.

I'd much rather step 3 feet from my xbox and open up firefox than do it on my 360.
 
I would want to browse the internet on the 360 so that when people come into my room and so annonyingly ask, "Can I check my myspace?" I can tell them sure use the 360 whore!

Ok, if they can't wait to get home to check their mysapce, of which they probably had signed off 5 minutes earlier, you need new friends.
 
They don't have a computer but they have a Myspace. So ridiculous it's not even funny.
