For those who are not familar with the origins of Anime a man named Osamu Tezuka who is considered the father of anime and was apprently the first guy to ever make an X rated cartoon show based his star chracter Asto Boy (aka Tetsuwan Atom) on the drawign style of Max and Dave Fleischer's Betty Boop character which had been imported to Japan following world war 2. Osamu Tezuka was enthralled with the big eyed and exagerated features of Betty Boop. Astro Boy was such a hit that all the anime and magna artist in japan quickly began to follow suit and the style became forever the standard of anime cartoons.
This all jsut scares me especially thinking back to my grandpa who was a soldier in WWII and his topless Betty Boop tattoo he has on his bicep. There is somethign seriously disturbing about an old man flexign his mucles to make Betty Boops breast swell.
