Keep in mind that the existing levy on blank media and recording devices is what keeps it legal to download various pieces of entertainment in Canada.

I don't know about the tax on Ipods. Out of the box, I thought you can't use it to exchange music around, music files can only be exchanged with your computer. Seems kind of dumb when someone who just puts the music they have purchased on there has to pay $75 more on their ipod.

hey well i hope it doesnt catch on over here. it would mean we will initially be getting charged way more than you guys for no particular reason and then this extra on top would mean like zero sales
