Lightsaber Duel

its very well done ..theres a few spots where id have sped up the film about 5% just enough to make them seem fast but not unrealistic ..great effects on force push and a few other powers overall id say a 8 of 10

That's "Ryan vs Dorkman" (RvD as insiders call it).

Both of those guys are now the forum mods on TF.N's FanFilm forum. If I'm not mistaken, Ryan is now an associate graphics designer at LucasArts.

You can go here to see the forums. It's a good read to get an idea what goes into making these. There are also links to films not hosted at TF.N

And of course there's the list of fanfilms already at TF.N

It's actually quite a few years old, and was a pioneer in the fanfilm special effects arena.

It's ok... check the links I posted and you'll rarely have to worry about that again.

the duel itself really is not bad.

though with some training and/or MA with weapons use it's easyer ;)

Although I'm not super fond of Jedi, I'm sometimes thinking of getting myself a double blade and make some fun movies with it as well :)
can take some time though (minimum a year I assume :/ )

What takes the most time is rotoscoping the lightsabers. Imagine having to edit your movie, frame by frame adding in the lightsaber effect. 24-30 frames per second... 1,440 edits for 1 minute of lightsaber action...
