If you still play SWG but dislike/hate the NGE....

My question to you is why do you still pay $15 a month for it? I'm not flaming, just want to hear people's different opinions and answers. Why are you still supporting a game that has let you down and has driven many of your friends away? This is only for people who dislike or hate the NGE and still play, not for people who like the NGE.

I rescently quit, but played for about 6-7 months of the NGE and the entire time I bashed the fuck out of it (deservingly so in my eyes).

I think part of the reason is because it is like a drug, people get addicted to it. Another reason is people's willingness to hold onto the past. To stop playing would be to let your avatar die in the galaxy. Somewhat silly I know but that would be like a little bit of you dying.

I guess lastly would be hope. Hope that one day you can have the fun you once had, hope that one day the game can be as good as it used to, hope of other things which will never come true.

 Sums it up pretty well. Would be a little like dying, so I braved through the really dark patches.
And yes it's addicting. Without SWG I would have a lot of time to actually do other stuff! :o I think that would take me some time to get used to.

Tiv has posted the latest Chapter notes in the SWG Forum. They did a big interface change to again bring back some of the old features.

How can you still be addicted to SWG? That's like saying you're addicted to cigarettes, but if you soak them in toliet water filled with shit, you would still smoke them? Okay.

Hope. It's that tiny little glimmer that some of us hold on to. I've been playing since October 2003. Had great times. Until things improve...EQ2

I have a station pass so..........on my computer SWG will sit. I occassionaly check in on it for a minute or 2 (mostly jsut to make sure my crypt is still there and has plenty of credits in it to keep it there for the rest of the time the game is alive) and to see if someone I haven't talked to in 6months might be there to atleast say hi.

I will keep the station pass currently I play EQ2 (and a little planetside) and they put out mini-expansions that cost about 8$ a pop so holding on to the pass is the wasy way of ensuring I have all the latest stuff up to date on it.

It's like hanging out in a trashy night club with your friends...but for us geeks instead. The place is a dump, and smells kinda funny, but you're there with the ones ya love so you know it's going to be fun :D
