I started playing a new game yesterday....

I was poking through some forums the other day and it was talking about an open beta of a game.. So I figured I would try it out... It was actually fun. I didn't lag once. And it was something new to do.

If your looking for a new game to play. Its free.. Its beta... Its called Ferentus. It took me about 2 hours to download the client. Seems like stable servers as I played for like 6 hours and didnt crash a single time.. For those who like the craft it even has that:)
Im on the east coast server, names Cadina. look me up if ya try it out.

Ok, I'm downloading it now. How is the combat? Is it like Pre Cu , CU , or is it completely different?

The world reminds me alot of Dark and Light.. when I beta tested it. Combat I would equivlent to cu style. Leveling is based on just using the skills after u get to level one of each skill.. Different races can do differnt classes so make sure you choose the race you want to corrospond with the class.. I am a barbarian, Paladin Class... Rob is a high elf I believe with the wizard class..
 
I looked at the classes a bit, summoner looks pretty cool I think I'll try that out im at 45% of the download complete so far.
 
I got a little confused at first with looting.. When you kill something.. left click on it to open a looting window and right click on the items if there are any in the box after to pick them up.. storage seems like an issue at first but you can purchase bags and there is a bank for storage. Also u exchange your money at the bank to get the different pieces. You'll understand as you see in the inventory theres CP, GP, PP.... I would guess thats copper pieces, gold pieces and platnum pieces.. A great way to afk in the game is to sit your char down in the center of town and open a shop afk.

Sounds a LOT like DR. Well..DR didn't have summoners. (Dragon Realms - old text based pay for play game that is still around)
 
this game looks promising, i think im going to download it when i get off work.
 
At level 5 you can hire a mercenary to hunt with you. costs one GP per hour.. plus you can summons pets.. When you hire help there is a separate toolbar to control them. I really didnt get to far with that as I got my help killed after 30 seconds thinking I could kill a higher mob when infact i got owned:)

They are implimenting a PvP system but there really isnt that much information on the game floating around the internet.. there is a section on the help menu in game explaing it a bit (F11).. Im still very new at it so I'm just basicially learning it as I go... there are guilds, costs 10 PP to start one which is quite a bit.. and you can design capes for members like in Guild Wars.. I believe that the individual members have to purchance there own tho to wear one tho.
 
well i played the game for a bit it really doesnt look too bad but the graphics suck and the sounds are washed up... its a little too old school looking for my tastes :(
 
Bah, I'm sick of elves, dwarves, medevil time lines....grrrr....wheres the originality? :angry:
