Ganrls Barkley Video Banned from MTV

apparently it can cause seizures

I didn't know television needed to drop programs because of what... 1-2% of population?

Not that I don't feel sorry for that 1-2%, but still. Kinda ridiculous. Just put a warning before it like "WARNING MAY CAUSE SEIZURES" and if REALLY necessary a scrolling marquee at the bottom with the same warning so people don't stare and go insane on the floor.

It's a lot more that 1-2% of the population try 5-10%. Also MTV is just covering their asses if someone has a seizure from watching that video they don't want to get sued.

Oh really? Wow that sucks.

I guess that's why so many people don't play computer games, because I can't think of any other reason why you WOULDN'T want to play them.

I can understand it can happen looking at the last part of the vid when the psycadelic (sp?) patterns appears. I didn't think it was bad tho :)

that sucks but im not going to complain i can't stand gnarls barkley except for the Transformers song

I guess that's one way of pullin' shit out of one's ass (MTV). Justin Temberlake can kiss my ass, but I'll give him credit during the MTV Music Awards, he admonished them for not playing music videos.

MTV is no longer in the business of making music, they are in the business of staying alive. If that means playing shows of spoiled little 15 year olds whom think the world revolves around them, they'll play it.

MTV likes to say that it's the fact that the MTV generation grew up, while MTV stayed the same...bullshit. To a point they could have played that off, but neither MTV, nor MTV2 play music videos anymore. It should be labeled TTV, as in Teen TV.

Hopefully, artists will start to realize the potential of the internet and boycott MTV all together. Granted, they should have pulled their heads out of their asses about 6-7 years ago, but hey.

If artists don't start looking at alternative solutions, we all will be subject to American Idol (Or whatever country Idol) reject #93045878. I've looked through ITunes and Yahoo Music and it is filled with mass produced crap. American 80's music is golden compared to the crap that is spewed out now-a-days.
