Empty Box!!!

Long story short I bought an empty box at a store (well okay it had a stupid piece of paper but the product was missing). The item I had intended to buy with (i.e. "in") the box was fairly cheap, and the store says they will replace it and that they had known they were having some problems with stealing.

But has anyone ever came home, opened up the stuff they bought, only to find nothing there?

I was a bit worried that the store would think I just emptied the box and came back for a "refill" lol. Apparently this has happened with other people, sometimes not so lucky. There is a website where someone says it happened with a digital camera - that someone had replaced it with deodorant. WTF!?

It seems stupid to think that I'd have to open every box I buy at a checkout stand just to make sure it is all there, so I would hate to do that and be all paranoid, but I may demand it from now on with expensive stuff at least.

LOL, thats funny cause im the one who empties the boxes. you should check the tape on the bottom and top of the game to see if it's been tampered with. Another thing that i've discovered was to purchase a PC game, replace the cd in the box, and then seal it back up like it's never been opened With the new box of games it's nearly impossible to do this anymore though. Only thing you can do is just rip the shit open and take what you want(cd key/installation cds). also, i've even bought a game, left it home, picked up the same game off the shelf, and returned that game.

ironic as it sounds, i had the same thing happen to me but the store had no problem returning it since it was within 30 minutes. I even used this to my advantage and would take the game out myself after i had bought the item... lol, im only a bad person to large corporations, not at all to the people who have to put up with their shit. <3

OMG you are wrong on so many levels... I think I like you now

A friend went to Israel and they bought a vid camera there at the end of their vacation (this was a long time ago). When they got home and opened the box, they realized it was made of plastic and filled with sand, nothing else...

Overseas I've known guys that bought electronics from street merchants, but when they weren't looking they swapped the electronics with bricks.

ive just been thinking when looking at this thread title and cant believe nobody replied with something like "omg a sequel to orange box!"
