although they wont or havent announced the exact date for ps3 release the third party folks with launch titles are giving early october release dates for those ...so word on the streets is late sept early oct

I took it a step farther and try and avoid all sony products, not to say I don't have and use them. If some other company has something similar to it I'll go for the other company.

Well I have a VAIO computer and then I have a PS2 as favorite console. My portable CD and MP3 player are SONY. My TV is SONY too. For CD/MP3 player it was the only one with the features I wanted at the time when I bought it. And for the TV, it had a HUGE sale price on it :)
But what I want to say is, I rely in a lot of Sony Products. For my computer, the customer service is excelent. To my experience, the Online Division is the only one that SUCKS!
