dance pad usb problems

see what happens is that the pad works ok for like 3 steps, then the pad begins to "stick" and a button will contine to say it is stepped on even when it is not. and often times in this period you can still hit other buttons but about half the time it doesn't do anything for awhile

Okay, think I found something about this problem:

From that review:

---
The sensitivity of response became a bit of a question after a while, though. The left and right buttons in particular seem at times to be too sensitive, and not sensitive enough at others. On a couple of occasions, they actually registered a response while my feet were in the middle square -- if they (my feet) got too close to the edge of the left or right buttons, the menu screen would suddenly go berserk with continuous input. During actual gameplay, it also felt as if the left button was just a little bit sticky now and again. Yes, I'm out of practice, but even taking that into account, it seemed a bit off.

Note: The PS2 Mailbag contains an update from the pad's designers explaining this issue.

Now the PS2 Mailbag link is here:

A must read for you, maybe this will answer some questions....maybe?

Hope this helps...

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but it truly sounds like a USB port problem on your computer.

Have you tried plugging it into other USB ports on your PC?

Okay, under the "System" window you brought up earlier, go to the "Hardware" tab and select "Device Manager"
