Isn't there a folder in your browser you can empty to make it re-d/l all the pics? That might do it /shrug

On Firefox a Shift-Refresh button will reload the images to see the new avatars...including how Meryl switched from the one image to another.

When I first log in I get the image of yours that is bigger and has you standing on the other side, then after the shift-refresh I see the "newer" one.
