Can you hear it?

Kinda lame, you'd have to be paying attention to hear it. I expected it to be relatively noticable the way they were carrying on about it, but it's like having a ringing in your ears type sensation.

I can listen to it.

It makes sense what I read in that article. I remember when I was younger. To watch cable in Mexico, you had to set up your TV in Video mode. Sometimes grandma or granddad turned off the cable console, but not the TV. Since it's black screen you don't notice the difference between on and off (and back then TVs didn't have a light beside the on/off button like they do now). I went to their house and I heard something. Unsure what it was I followed the sound to where it sounded louder, until I got to the TV. I told my grand parents so many times that there is a high pitch sound going off from the TV. They couldn't hear it, for many years I thought it was odd. Now I understand why.

I still know when a TV, Computer monitor, or other screen devices are on just by the sound they make. Even those computers that have no fan, but a liquid cooling system. They make no noise, but I still think they are annoying, that's why I turn off my computer when I go to sleep.

I hear an annoying sound when anything that produces a video feed is on - but no sound is coming out of it. Like a TV with the cable box turned off, or a monitor left on.
