Bump thread is SLOW?

Some of you may have noticed the same as me.
It takes AGES for the Bump Thread to load up now!
Has it got to big for the forum and we need a new one or is there something else?
It's so slow I give up trying to open it and then bump anything.

The bump thread is becoming extremely resource intensive for the server, cause its one thread with over 1000 pages. Nothing i can do about it. And quite frankly I'm glad its dying.
