Rockstar's violent action adventure is denied a classification by the UK board, effectively banning the title in the country, due to its 'unremitting bleakness' and 'casual sadism.'

I can't really begin to tell where this ranks up on the lame scale. I don't care to much about the game but stuff like this gets me.

Yeah but you didn't see the media hate campaign against it.
It's a lot less hassle not to release it then spend all day defending it.

Do Rockstar have a fetish about releasing controversial games that get banned?
