Easy Star All-Star (or Easy Dub All-stars, thats what i thought the name was).
They apperantly did a remake of Dark Side of the Moon, with a reggea/rappish style.
anyone heard of this? if not, I recommend getting/buying/downloading it.

its Easy Star All-Stars, and they named the album "Dub Side of the Moon" (hehe.)

But its pretty badass, if anyone wants to hear a good album. I think its 13 songs, thats all i saw.

I am not sure how I would like hearing one of my favorite albums ever re-done reggae style.

P.S. WC loves DSotM, played it for her while she was in the womb.

I have to reccomend this too. It's very well done and respectful to the original.
Us and Them and Great Gig In The Sky are transcendent.
I also had the pleasure of seeing them perform it live at the Bob Marley Fest last year :)

So Shaggz, have you ever heard The Dark Side of The Moon trance remix by The Orb? If you haven't, you might want to give this a listen too. They remixed the whole fecking album! It's really cool if you're in the right mood for it. On the Run and Money are done particularly well. Supposedly, David Gilmour loved it so much he lent The Orb the master tapes of other Pink Floyd albums including Meddle, Wish You Were Here and Animals, so that they could remix those too.

man i felt the same way till i heard it. It totally respects it and doesnt "shit all over the original" like most rappers would (sorry i have distaste for 98% of the rappers to date. most the good ones are dead already).
seriously, Id suggest downloading at least 2 songs and seeing if im wrong, you fuzzy wookie :D

Okay...I will then. Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh, and spell WookieE right next time you druggie.

<3 For the Orb's take on the Dark Side....I'll have to give this reggae version a listen, but I'm definately much more of a trance head, and dont take too well to covers or "remixes" done outside that genre.

Still, I've always had an open mind, and it sounds like this is worth the time spent listening :)

I have this album, it is amazing. Anyone who likes dub style of reggae, or pink floyd would definately like this album.
