Carry a diaper bag everywhere you go. The one time you dont is the one time they shit on every single article of clothing they have on.

Spank 'em now...spank 'em early....and spank 'em often. Then they won't be askin you for chocolate milk instead of a mountain dew! [/b]
The only piece of advice I give new parents is to get an American Standard Sign Language Dictionary and teach your baby, starting around 8 months, basic sign language.
Around 10 months, children can sign. Most children do not start talking until much later, but they can express their needs and wants with signs quite well. We signed with all of my daughters. My first and third are awesome at it, my middle less so, but they were all signing in sentances before they were speaking them.
And the benefits carry over to their language skills and their manners. My kids have been signing please and thank you since they we 11-12 months old, and they still do it. They have really good manners and I credit my wife for finding out about signing and then practicing it with them.
Lastly, it is really cool that even now that they are older, I can tell them without yelling and from across a room, to stop, sit down and be quiet.

Also when you are changing their diapers.... don't stand within their "behind" sites... my daughter crapped 6 feet across the floor one day. I had just moved too.

one time me the wife and kid were looking at apartments, and we got settled with one office, was talking with them etc and me and the wife smell a lil poopy. so i take her into the bathroom to find that it was a monster wtaer poo that had gotten EVERYWHERE- her onesie, her over shirt, her pants, her blanket, her socks, I mean on every single article of clothing that touched her. Lol, that was why we always bring an extra change of clothes where ever we go.Also when you are changing their diapers.... don't stand within their "behind" sites... my daughter crapped 6 feet across the floor one day.
