Well, sad to say that its time for a new mouse. My old mouse has served me well but its time to move on. -_- Anyway enough with that! I'm looking for a new mouse and I came across this one, a Logitec MX1000. Has anyone tried this mouse and if so, is it any good?

I went ahead and picked it up to try. Its pretty nice except that games do not support buttons 5 - 6
Also I can't seem to get the switch application feature to work either.. :mellow: Its alot more smoother than my old mouse though which is good. On a downside, you cannot buy replacement batteries I don't think seeing that you need to contact logitech support or something.. Good mouse but i mainly bought it for all the buttons but it kinda sucks i can only use 1 - 4, which is like 1 extra button :angry:

From everything I have heard from customers it's a brilliant mouse! Much better than an optical.

There $79.95 seems a bit steep for US. I hope you saved a bit on it. Over here it's ?49.99 which right now converts to $94!!

As for the buttons I find some games don't even support 3 buttons! :angry: It says it has 8 buttons? 2 on the wheel top I think. Don't know about the switcher. Can you reprogram it?
The other buttons can be used for Windows functions though can't they.
The battery is rechargable and it says the lithium-ion battery never needs replacing. So I don't think you have anything to worry about now really. B)

I don't know about programming... I dont think you can. I didn't install the disk it came with because I already have logitech stuff on here and it still works without it. Yes, all of the buttons works in windows and applications as well ecept for the application switcher (or atleast it dosnt switch webpages). So I may try to install the disk, maybe the games will recognize all 8 then.

inch: yes put the disc in and then see if it works! :lol: I doubt the games will though. You need a game to be programmed for it or to recognise them. Not many about I expect.
