I have a good story...
Mom and Dad lived in Indonesia for about 3 years after getting married.
Mom has this awesome affinity for cats, she adopted a stray kitten (tom cat). It was a about 3 month old kitten, and in mom's pictures it looks bigger than a soccer ball. Well this kitten got older and eventually had 14 kittens of her own. Mom had them in the front yard for the most part.
A friend of my parents came to visit once. He was walking his dogs, 2 rottweilers trained as guard dogs in a very prestigious school in Germany. Mom described it as they obeyed every command their owner gived them.
They were chatting in the porch and my parent's friend demonstrated (bragged) his dogs. Sayin 'growl' (in german) and the dog growled. 'Bark' and the same. But this guy was aiming this orders at the kittens. The mother was around my mom's feet, you know purring and rubbing her body against mom. But she (the cat) had the dogs in her crosshair.
Mom and Dad advised him not to do that. Cats can be quite dangerous, mom said several times. Then suddenly the german guy ordered one of his dogs to attack the kittens, of course he didn't let go of the leash. Mom's cat (the mother of the kittens) jump swiftly to the dog's neck. Mom said the cat went around the dog's neck once, and then jumped back to her feet. A split second later the dog had a gushing geyser(sp) of blood out his neck. The dog died right there.
Of course dad offer to pay for the dog (trained dog I thought, must be expensive). Althought the german guy was sad, he acknowledge that it was his own fault for not listening. Honest guy, I might add.
Trained to kill, if necessary, a guard dog. Got killed quite easy by a stray cat. Mom told me this story so many times (mostly because I asked for it) that I always thought cats are way cooler than dogs. That formed my affinity to cats as well. Althought I don't own one :lol: at the moment.
Good story.... I have another with what some Indonesians called the 'Devil' (I forget the indonesian word mom used for it.) But that's for another time. Now back to work.
